New production hall and office ready for use
Exactly 9 months after the first pile was driven into the soil the new building for Alumat Zeeman is almost ready. Directly next to the existing building, an extension of 4600 square meter (49.516 square feet) has been realized. The extension will provide new space for production and also for the machining and logistics for long materials like tubes and profiles. Also a new office for production, the planning department and a multi-functional training/meeting room are realized in the new building.
The machines have already been transferred to the new part of the building and are in full production. With special heavy equipment the machines of the sheet metal department have been moved from the existing building to the new hall. A huge job that required a lot of planning and coordination before it could be started. The execution went like clockwork, even though the Corona measures prohibited some Belgian experts to come that were planned to help move and commission the machines in the new hall.
The extension of our production possibilities supports us to even better fulfill the demands of the market. The horticulture industry is faced with global challenges. The population grows and with that the demand for food. Especially food that is safe and produced under protected circumstances to minimize the impact of the external climate. Greenhouses provide this opportunity and we see them more and more all over the world.
Inhouse production
The hall is especially intended for our industrial processes like tube-end processing and tube bending, sheet metal processes (up to 6 meter or 19,86 ft) like slitting, punching, laser cutting and bending on our press brakes, wire processing and robot welding to name a few. These inhouse processes increase our flexibility and reaction speed. With more than enough space we can further optimize our production processes and internal logistics. We also have more space to store more articles in our fully digitized warehouse for our B2B web shop.
